Why join the Association for the Promotion and Preservation of Himalayan Cultures?
ARCH has made it its primary mission to defend and safeguard the Himalayan region's immaterial cultural heritage and to help keep the artisanal skills that are an integral part of that heritage alive and viable. Becoming a member of the Association is first of all an
expression of support for its values, its goals and the purpose it stands for. Under the supervision of the eminent specialists on the region who constitute our managing board, ARCH regularly publishes Toit du Monde newsletters and organizes monthly meetings that make the organization vitally important to anyone with an interest in these cultures who shares our concern for their future.
As a member of ARCH:
- You get free paper publications of Letters of the Roof of the World on the year.
- Your reservations to attend certain events will receive priority.
-You can submit your field research to our artistic and technical committee for publication in the Toit du Monde newsletter. All proposals for collaboration that are consistent with ARCH’s objectives will be considered, and if approved, may lead to the production of a publication or a public event.
